Research Participants Requitement: Research Study on Interpersonal Interactions in Chinese

Yaqian Zhao, a PhD candidate in Chinese Linguistics in the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at UW-Madison, is seeking participants for her dissertation research on the interactional features of Chinese as a first or second language. Her study aims to provide insights and implications for interpersonal communication involving speakers of Chinese as their native or second language.
What’s involved:
Bring a peer who is a native Chinese speaker for a recorded conversation in Chinese (Both you and your peer will receive $30 in compensation for your time).
Participate in a follow-up interview with the researcher.
You may qualify if you:
Are 18 years of age or older.
Speak Chinese as a first language OR as a second language at an intermediate level or above.
